Do the whirlwind.

Like me.
Everything in life is a total whirlwind right now!

I just registered for my last semester as an undergraduate!

I just had the most amazing weekend with Rachel, Mariana, &
Mark.

Today was my "midterm evaluation" at the internship- over 1/2 way
done.
(& got great feedback!)

There is so much on my mind between now and the future.

Assignments, more visits possibly, next internship, yoga school, grad school, last year of school!?

Let's start with this:An epic, award-winning shot outside the Boulder Ice Cream Company!
(I love this one : D)
Rachel, Mari, Me, & Mark.
A totally dynamic bunch!

First- The Arrival.
I picked up these three at Denver International on Thursday eve.
The welcome snack: chardonnay, brie, apple, and baguette.
mmm. The company & the food was delicious!

The next day, after a Brewer tour of Coors - the world's largest!
We went for a drive up Lookout Mountain in Golden.
Even went past the "M" & got a great view from atop.

Me & Mari, matching headbands. Cold heads Mark & Rachel in the middle : b

We found another great photo op. Thumbs up to the view!

Then we drove to the Red Rock Amphitheater.
Plenty of area there to play!

We drove into Boulder.
Went to Pearl Street. The farmer's market. Stayed at LaQuinta.

Our happy little family for the weekend ; D

Then a tour of the Boulder Ice Cream Co.

We got the moo-ves ; b

I just feel like we each have a lot of personality to bring to the table.
Or in the case of the picture above-
the bench.

We drove into Denver.
& even though we arrived too late for a tour of Coors field,
I've never see such a happy little guy...
Well, happy 6 foot guy that is...

DAM!
The Denver Art Museum, that is!

We used a sophisticated, critical eye to judge the sculptures. hehe.

We made new friends too!

Some were soft & cuddly:
Zoro bear 8 )

Others were totally fierce!
Hello Zombie-Con.

War & Peace.

Overall, this past weekend was simply amazing.
Just what I needed!

Thanks again to Rachel, Mari, & Mark for coming to visit me.

They're heeeerrrrrreeeeee!

My lovely, wonderful guests have arrived!

Yesterday, I got my white Hyundai Accent from Enterprise.

I got a car! Woo-hoo! Well, a rental that is : b

So, of course my first stop was...

WHOLE FOODS!

I then eagerly drove home knowing that I had a package arriving that very afternoon!

My lovely care-package from Mr. Christian included:

~ Some fun novelties!

~ Some tasty snacks!

~ Oh, and get this: A tomtom GPS!!!

It seems everyone in my life wants to give me directions.

Ah! It's so exciting. My guests named her Dorothy, so alas-

Dorothy, is making this multi-destination weekend trip very easy! : D

After errands, laundry, and other prep prior to flight 707's arrival

I got to Denver International 10 minutes before the 7p.m. landing.

I waited at the gate exit with a big sign:

"Mark, Rachel, & Mariana"

A ton of people stopped to read it, so now 1/2 of Denver knows their names.

After a hug-filled reunion

and some excited jumping on my part

we drove back into Golden.

Then it was time to eat.

One bottle of The Little Penguin Chardonnay- mmm.

+ One Udi's Bread Co. Baguette

+ 1/2 round of Light Brie Cheese Wheel

+ 2 Sliced apples

= One lovely reunion with friends : D

Some more of my week in pictures

It's Sunday!

This past week FLEW by, sigh, they always do.
This week will probably fly by as well, hopefully-
because Mariana, Mark, & Rachel will be here on the 21st!

Well, I took the GRE this past week.
I had two exams,
I've done my homework.
I made some special request artwork for coworkers:

Juli & her cupcakes. hehe.

Kelsie said abstract and nature. So something for baby Zoeky's room : b

It got colder here.
The past few days have been very Seattle-esque.
Windy, Rainy, Crisp.

I got a headband from work. Represent. & toasty ears to boot!

On Friday night we went to Blue Canyon Bar & Grill to celebrate
Bria's (another coworker) birthday.
It was so cool inside!
The DJ booth is a bright yellow jeep : D

This place is on the main strip of downtown Golden.
& I saw a parade!!!
"Revenge of the Nerds"-
It's CSM's homecoming weekend.

Later in the week too,
after two nights of Cricket-induced insomnia
I tried to give myself a sleep deprived neck rub.

Or some Freddy Crougar scratches?
I mean...I do love Halloween.
I could do some cat-fight damage, if necessary.

A 15-pound Cricket

Last night as I snuggled into my cozy bed for a good nights sleep

I passed out.

Seeing as I am the world's heaviest sleeper,

this came at no extra surprise.

What was surprising was that I was awoken

by a sound.

Perched on the outside of my window

was a 15-pound cricket.

I have no idea how a cricket came to be so large,

or so well balanced on such a small windowsill.

But, I do know that his baritone chirp resonated quite nicely.

Every time I shifted though, it stopped.

Which led me to believe that it was inside my room!

Which reminded me of the fear of crickets and grasshoppers

that I inherited from my mother.

sigh.

An evening of productive procrastination

I do not want to do school work right now!

I did some at the library this morning.

I did some this afternoon at home.

I will do some tomorrow morning & afternoon.

Tonight, I am playing with today's greatest find:

A 25-pack of oil pastels at goodwill for $3.99!

My happy medium ; b

The canvas= White scrap cardboard.

The options= endless!
hehe. Can you spot my attempted Jolie?

A well deserved treat

On Friday, I just didn't have the heart to do any more school work.
Seriously- it's unyielding!

Well, since I knew that The Social Network
had just been released to theaters...

I hopped on the bus and went to the CO Mills Mall
so that I could treat myself to a movie!

First, I stopped at Whole Foods.
What? It was across the street!
I bought a tasty snack to sneak into the 4:05 p.m. showing.

I really, really liked the movie.

Also, I ended up getting myself another treat while I was out.

My new Hello Kitty slipper booties.

This morning as I was greeted by 50* weather,
and its accompanying tile floor in the bathroom...
I had happily toasted toes & soles : D

They're perfectly adorable, yet functional.

and now it's back to school work and laundry.
Saturdays, typical.
