A funny number.

Well, I just signed on to post another post on the blog,
when I saw this: 62 posts.

I have posted 62 times,
and the reason I wanted to post this post is because,
I graduate in 62 days!

Sixty-two days : D
That's it!
Time flies and I know it is going to pass by so quickly
from now until then.

Today was also when I got to register for the ticket
lottery to the commencement ceremony on May 1st.

Also, another fun fact about work today
internship...same thing
CAKE DAY!

hehe. If you clicked the Cake above...
well, that is a good band.
But the wrong cake!

I meant the kind with icing.
To celebrate all the birthdays this month.
It's a monthly lunch-time cake extravaganza : b

Okay, so I just had a tiny piece.
But I sat next to a friend from work at a meeting.
& I'm about to skype with my best friend-
so I guess it is just a swell day!

Bonaroo Brain.

Here's the buzz.
It's my ultimate motivation
Four days in June- camping, concerts, hooping, the works.

Pre-sale tickets on Black Friday sold out in a record 2 hours.
The last chance tickets open up for sale this Saturday at noon Eastern.
That's 9 a.m. my time, mind you.

It's what I dream about.
It's what I think about.
It's what I daydream about.
It is the big light at the end of the tunnel.
It is a highlight of my summer.
It is going to be a blast with Aleyse & Kristen.

The line-up went live online today & I already see pure musical magic:

  • Arcade Fire
  • The Black Keys
  • Florence + The Machine
  • Bassnectar
  • Girl Talk
  • Beirut
  • Cold War Kids
  • Man Man
  • Beats Antique
  • and so many more!!!

So as I sit here and send good vibes out
hoping that the law of attraction fulfills my ticket purchase
I am buzzing.

SUNday.

The coolest Little Hawaiian totem. a.k.a. Car Protector.
This past Sunday I got picked up bright and early to go with my new friends to the Rancho Bernardo Farmer's Market!

First, I went to their home.
The most beautiful house in the world.
I finally know what I want my house to look like when I grow up :b
What a view!
Hoops for sale!

The cars got all packed up for their booth.

I said goodbye to new puppydog friends too.
This is Alex!
When we arrived I got to help them set up, and then it was time to play.
Chris and Vu workin' the booth!

I was there all day! It's a farmer's market that runs from 10-4 and I was thrilled.
I got to explore each booth and buy the most delicious snow cone ever!
The Shortcake: $2 gets you a strawberry, birthday cake, and mochi pieces on top!
It was a sunny and splendid day!

Be Mine?

Yesterday I went to a really fun Valentine's Day card-making event!
I felt really inspired and kept coming up with ideas!
 Different designs,
 sayings,
and people came to mind.

It was fun to get into the "holiday spirit" and also
get in touch with my inner Crafting Ph.D.

What are you doing on Valentine's Day?
Fun plans?

(I'll be taking my first exam of the semester.)

The traveled path.

I went hiking last Thursday, and I'm going to again today!
When I have a day off it's really nice to get outside.

Especially mid-day when there is SUN, in the morning and evening it's been around 30 degrees here!
There are a lot of fun things to see when you go on a hike.
Some of the staff even go on their lunch break.
It's fun to hear what they saw...
Apparently a coyote crossed a path of one coworker this morning.
Which always makes me think of this:
My mom and I used to read that book a lot when I was a kid.

Oh, and since I'm not a kid anymore...I can go do adult things.
Like go to a Casino!

Last week I went to Baronna, a casino on an Indian Reserve,
with my new friend Paige : D

...and can you read the sign I'm pointing to?
It's for the SAGE Cafe!

Delicious.

This was a brunch from last Sunday ^Oh my! What a delicious frittata!

But I also wanted to share just some yummy sights on the board walk at night:
  • Every night these little candles get placed along the sides when the sun goes down. I really like them. It makes the cool night air feel a little more warm : D
Plus, these trees...with just a wee bit of illumination are splendid.
That big bell in the middle is rung right before dinner!

This was dinner two nights ago, I think?
Appetizer: Zucchini sticks?
Soup: Pea!
Entree: Shrimp over risotto.
Dessert: Little "Pie" in a tiny glass!

And dinner last night!
Salad: YUM! Makes me like grapefruit even more!
Appetizer; Cracker with goat cheese and a grape bruschetta
Entree: Fish over wheat berry pilaf
Dessert: Apples! mmmm. Apples with lots of cinnamon and some oats too.
Hoping everyone has a happy day. I have lots of school work to attend to. But I think I'll squeeze in a hike break this afternoon- YAY!

It is sunny & warm outside.

Highlights of my day:
  • Having the opportunity to assist two classes! & leading the stretch at the end of both.
  • Working hard & doing my body good in a Sports-specific circuit class.
  • Smiling & laughing in a Yuichi class- a Saturday special of dancing and show tunes.
  • Kundalini yoga. Divine way to unwind and end the day.
  • A couple of very sweet compliments that made me feel really, really good.
  • Making a really fun self-expression collage to put on my locker in the fitness office.
  • Hula-hooping on the loading dock (at lunch hour) with my new friend Vu. He is not only an avid hooper but makes and sells them as well. Guess which girl is a new loyal customer?
